Job summary

Target Optical in the United States is seeking an Optometric Technician to deliver exceptional patient service and ensure high-quality care. You will greet guests, explain procedures, review prescriptions, and support the Optometrist throughout visits.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and efficient check-in/out, with responsibilities ranging from pre-exam testing to lens and product knowledge, inventory management, and maintaining clean, organized displays.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year guest service experience.
• High School Graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
• Good communicator with guests and associates.
• Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and provide attentive service.
• Explain products, services, and paperwork to guests and doctors as needed.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; flag special needs.
• Maintain organized patient records and assist with pre-exam testing.
• Assist with lens orders, shipments and invoicing; operate POS when needed.
