Job summary

Visionworks of America in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Part-Time Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the first face patients meet and to guide them through preliminary testing and the exam journey.

You will assist with patient records, introduce patients to the OD, transition them to the sales floor, and support the exam lane with restocking and equipment cleaning. This role emphasizes friendly service and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products and services that meet eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
