Job summary

Visionworks in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a personable Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to be the friendly face of our Exam Practice. You will help patients through the early steps of their eye care journey, combining eye health knowledge with a warm, human touch.

This part-time position involves prelim testing, coordination with the OD, and guiding customers from the exam to product recommendations on the showroom floor, with a strong emphasis on patient experience.

Qualifications

• Customer or patient service experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
