Job summary

VisionWorks in Parkville, MD seeks a Sr. Optical Specialist - Lead/Sales Lead to be the face of our business and guide customers through a simple, human and bold eyewear journey.

You will drive sales, engage with patients, measure for eyewear and stay current with products through ongoing training to ensure right-first-time results and strong customer satisfaction. This role emphasizes leadership, optics knowledge, and a customer-centric experience.

Qualifications

• 12 months optical experience or ABO Certification in lieu of experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers daily sales goals by ensuring the best execution of the Customer/Patient Experience journey.
• Engage with patients/customers and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Measure patients/customers for their eyewear and maintain product/optical knowledge through continuous training to ensure eyewear is Right the First Time.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's financial and customer experience goals including restocking inventory, merchandising, and order fulfillment of eyewear to ship.
