Acuity Eye Group is seeking a licensed Optometrist to examine patients, diagnose eye conditions, and manage vision care services. You will conduct eye examinations, prescribe eyewear or contact lenses, and provide patient counseling to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and active California license in good standing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth understanding of eye conditions and vision defects.
• Hands-on experience with eye examination tools such as ophthalmoscope and tonometer.
• Ability to explain medical terms simply and clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests.
• Diagnose defects of the eye, such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma.
• Provide personalized solutions to sight issues based on each patient’s case and medical history.
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Advise patients on proper eye care techniques.
• Promote eye and general health by evaluating and counseling patients.
• Keep updated and accurate medical records for all patients.
• Book next appointments when re-examinations are required.
• Train patients on how to use and maintain their contact lenses.
• Refer patients to eye doctors and ophthalmologists when surgery is needed or in cases of severe eye injuries.
• Maintain patient, physician, and employee privacy and confidentiality per policy.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor per company policy.
• Stay current with changes in healthcare and act in the best interest of the Company.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
