Job summary

Acuity Eye Group in Southern California seeks a licensed Doctor of Optometry to examine eyes, diagnose conditions, and provide corrective eyewear solutions. You will conduct comprehensive eye exams, prescribe glasses or contacts, and counsel patients to support eye health.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, staying compliant with federal/state regulations, and coordinating care with ophthalmologists as needed to ensure high-quality vision services for our patients.

Qualifications

• OD degree and active California license in good standing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid knowledge of eye conditions and vision defects.
• Experience using eye examination tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision exams.
• Diagnose defects such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma.
• Prescribe eyeglasses or contact lenses as needed.
• Provide patient counseling and eye care guidance.
• Maintain accurate medical records and confidentiality.
• Refer patients when surgery or specialist care is required.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
