Job summary

Acuity Eye Group in Southern California is seeking a Doctor of Optometry to join our physician‑owned eye care network. You will perform comprehensive eye and vision assessments, diagnose and treat ocular conditions, and contribute to patient care with high professional standards.

You will prescribe eyewear and manage eye health, maintain detailed patient records, and stay compliant with HIPAA and state regulations in an on-site role that collaborates with a team to advance clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree and California license in good standing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests.
• Diagnose defects such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma.
• Prescribe medications, eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Advise patients on proper eye care techniques.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
• Refer eye doctors and ophthalmologists when surgery is needed.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality per policy and HIPAA requirements.
