The successful candidate will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose common conditions, and prescribe glasses or contacts, while maintaining thorough patient records and adhering to all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree required and active California license in good standing.
• California license to practice optometry confirmed and current.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye and vision tests.
• Diagnose defects such as myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma.
• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Explain medical terms clearly to patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and privacy per policy.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists for surgery when needed.
