Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant in Kentucky to be the friendly face of our exam practice. You will assist with preliminary testing, eye health knowledge, and guiding patients through the Visionworks experience.

The role includes opening/closing the store, maintaining patient records, and helping educate customers on products and services. This is a part-time position with benefits like discounts and leave provisions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products and services that meet eye care needs.
• Support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals, including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones.
• Open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
