Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a personable OD Tech/Optometric Assistant in Lexington, KY, for a part-time role. You’ll guide patients through the Visionworks journey, support eye exams, and help connect customers with appropriate products and services in a friendly, human, and bold manner.

The position emphasizes customer care, eye health knowledge, and strong teamwork on a busy exam floor. Training is provided to ensure smooth patient experiences and store operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed
