Job summary

Visionworks of America in Louisville, KY is seeking an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the friendly face of our exam practice. You will support eye health testing, guide patients through the exam journey, and help educate customers on products and services with a human, bold approach.

The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, patient handoff to the OD, and in-store operations to maintain the exam lane and patient experience. Full-time position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer or patient-facing experience preferred.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed
