Job summary

The Drexel Building Supply, Inc. is seeking a Truss Designer to transform architectural visions into precise, manufacturable truss systems for wall, roof, and floor assemblies.

You will read architectural and structural drawings, perform load analysis, and create detailed production files and field layouts while coordinating with fabrication teams and installers to ensure on-time, accurate execution.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce detailed, accurate designs for roof, wall, and floor systems.
• Apply understanding of structural loads to ensure designs meet codes and standards.
• Prepare clear drawings and production files for manufacturing and field installation layouts.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies early to prevent costly errors.
• Maintain direct communication with internal teams and customers.
• Stay current with building codes and design software updates like MiTek and iStruct.

Responsibilities
