Job summary

Swift Supply, Inc. is seeking a Truss Designer who loves design and accuracy to design roof and floor truss systems using MiTek software.

You will ensure designs are input accurately from customer plans, optimize for material and labor, and comply with codes and company standards. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in truss design, can read blueprints, has strong math skills, and can communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 5 years of Truss and Wall experience.
• Must pass a background check and Non-DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Designs trusses on all assigned jobs according to plan and quote specifications.
• Troubleshoots design/engineering issues and documents the solution.
• Ensures economical and proper use of materials per inventory and costs.
• Maintains efficient production through proper design and notation.
• Keeps detailed records for each job and communicates with team members.
• May travel to job sites to resolve design/engineering issues.
