Job summary

Motional AD LLC is seeking a Test Engineer to validate self‑driving technology through virtual and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing. You will build test plans, automate cases, and drive end‑to‑end verification across perception, planning, and control stacks.

Responsibilities include designing test campaigns, analyzing logs, and ensuring ISO26262/ISO21448 compliance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Robotics, ECE, CS or related field.
• Experience: 2+ years in software QA, systems testing, or mechatronic validation, preferably in ADAS or autonomous systems.
• Technical Skills: Linux, Python, C++, and Bash/Shell; proven ability to write and execute test cases and plans.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test campaigns for AV features, across virtual and on-vehicle environments.
• Create and maintain detailed test plans, cases, and automation scripts in Python and Bash.
• Utilize SIL/HIL platforms and simulation tools (Applied Intuition) for validation and regression testing.
• Analyze logs to investigate root causes and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
