Job summary

ACCEL Schools' Virtual Preparatory Academy of Missouri at Atlanta seeks a Student Success Coach to guide onboarding, interventions, and support for enrolled students and families in a virtual setting. You will maintain weekly office hours, make welcome calls, coordinate with homeroom teachers, and collaborate with teachers and leaders to address barriers to attendance, academics, and behavior.

Travel will be required a few times per year for state testing and events; Missouri residency is

Qualifications

• Missouri residency required.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Experience as tutor, counselor, or mentor to youth.
• Marketing experience including social media, events, and communications.
• Proficiency with Google Docs and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong data collection and analysis skills.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• Ability to work with a distributed workforce.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding and completion of required tasks for new and returning students.
• Maintain weekly office hours and help sessions.
• Make welcome calls with homeroom teachers.
• Identify and resolve issues with other departments as needed.
• Participate in Admissions Counseling to review transcripts and assist with course selection.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor progress and set objectives.
• Prepare for student gatherings and maintain documentation of performance and needs.
• Coordinate professional development and re-enrollment activities.
