Job summary

ACCEL Schools’ Virtual Preparatory Academy of Missouri at Atlanta is seeking a Student Success Coach to onboard new students and support families in a virtual setting with periodic in-person events to assist with state testing and events.

You will maintain weekly open office hours, help with course selection, and track student progress while collaborating with teachers and parents to address barriers to attendance and achievement.

Qualifications

• Missouri residency required.
• Prior experience as a teacher tutor, counselor, or mentor to youth is preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Docs, MS Office Suite, e-mail, and internet applications.

Responsibilities

• Support new and returning students and families through onboarding.
• Maintain weekly open office hours to assist new students and families.
• Coordinate with homeroom teachers for welcome calls and follow-ups.
• Identify issues and problem solve with other departments to ensure prompt resolutions.
• Participate in Admissions Counseling, review transcripts, and assist with course selection.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to monitor progress and keep students accountable.
