Job summary

Pennwood Cyber Charter School seeks Pennsylvania-certified educators to deliver high-quality virtual instruction to K-12 students. Teachers work from home offices in Pennsylvania, managing programs with the LMS, phone, internet, and synchronous/asynchronous methods.

Responsibilities include communicating with students and Learning Coaches, monitoring progress, keeping records, and adapting instruction to boost engagement.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania instructional certification appropriate for the assigned grade level and subject area.
• Pennsylvania residency.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated student-centered approach, flexibility, agility, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, technology-driven environment.
• Ability to travel for state testing, school events, and outreach activities, including possible overnight travel.
• Ability to work occasional evening hours, as needed to support students and families.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and related technology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction to students across grades and subjects.
• Communicate with students and Learning Coaches, monitor progress, and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate student records and data, including attendance and communications.
• Collaborate with staff to develop enrichment activities and program modifications.
• Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs and accommodations.
