Job summary

Pennwood Cyber Charter School seeks Pennsylvania-certified educators to deliver high-quality virtual instruction to students. Teachers work from home offices in Pennsylvania, managing instructional programming through the LMS, phone, internet, and other tools.

Responsibilities include communicating with students and Learning Coaches, monitoring progress, providing timely feedback, and collaborating with engagement and counseling teams to support student success in Pennwood’s cyber learning

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania instructional certification appropriate for the assigned grade level and subject area.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction to students in assigned grades and subject areas.
• Complete grading, lesson preparation, and student/family communications within established timelines.
• Maintain knowledge of K-12 curriculum and detailed knowledge of assigned courses.
• Support students and Learning Coaches with learning strategies and course expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues, school leaders, counseling and engagement teams to support student progress.
