Job summary

Pennwood Cyber Charter School seeks highly qualified, state-certified middle or high school teachers to join its staff. Working from a home office in Pennsylvania, you will manage instructional programming virtually and collaborate with learning coaches to ensure success for all students.

You will deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction, handle grading and communications, develop learning plans, and review curricula. Travel for state testing and events may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be certified to teach Middle School or High School in Pennsylvania.
• Endorsements in EL or multiple subject areas preferred.
• PA residency required.
• Experience in cyber learning environment is a plus.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.
• Willingness to travel for state testing and events.
• Ability to work remotely and login securely (2-step authentication).

Responsibilities

• Deliver asynchronous and synchronous instruction in whole group, small group and 1-1 settings.
• Complete grading, lesson preparation, and communications in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other teachers on learning plans, assessments, and feedback.
• Review curriculum and present content effectively to increase understanding.
• Support students and families with daily assignments and projects.
• Maintain up-to-date student records and data, including attendance and contacts.
• Coordinate with Engagement and Counseling to ensure progress and goals are met.
• Assist with state assessments and school events as directed.
• Engage in professional development and remote collaboration.
