Stride, Inc. is seeking a full-time School Counselor for the K12 Private Academy, a virtual program open to residents of all 50 states and Washington, D.C. The counselor will support student success, provide preventive services, and guide academic, social, and career development.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff and families, planning for postsecondary options, and data-driven interventions. Travel up to 20% may be required for meetings and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and at least 3 years of counseling/advisement experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based search engines, and database systems
• Background check clearance required and state licensure preferred

Responsabilités

• Provide short-term counseling to students and refer for long-term support as needed
• Analyze student data and develop data-driven intervention plans
• Advise on college and career readiness and graduation planning
• Collaborate with teachers to develop a four-year graduation plan and monitor student schedules
• Support standardized testing, parent education, and staff development
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for professional development and assessments
