Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health seeks a Triage RN to rapidly assess and prioritize patients, directing them to the appropriate level of care. You will interview patients, evaluate symptoms, perform initial assessments, and provide advice while coordinating care.

You will triage calls, facilitate access to providers and resources, adapt communication to diverse backgrounds, and document in the EMR with strong typing and multitasking. Strong critical thinking and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Three years RN experience in acute care or ambulatory setting.
• Registered Nurse license in WA state.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming calls from patients and determine appropriate clinical dispositions.
• Facilitate access to primary care, specialists, facilities, and community resources.
• Educate patients on immediate care, chronic disease management, and preventive care.
