Job summary

CoxHealth in Missouri operates a Virtual Nursing Command Center at Cox South Hospital. The eICU Virtual Nurse role supports bedside RNs by monitoring vitals, assisting with admissions and discharges, and collaborating with virtual physicians, pharmacists, and the Early Intervention Team.

Ideal candidates will have inpatient nursing experience, an active Missouri RN license, and strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills to excel in a high-tech setting.

Qualifications

• RN license active in Missouri.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum two years inpatient nursing experience.
• Preferred: Charge nurse or preceptor experience and specialty nursing certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions, care plan development and maintenance.
• Provide patient education and discharge teaching.
• Coordinate care and mentor new nurses.
• Support bedside RNs and participate in evidence-based care implementation.
• Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with virtual physicians, pharmacists, and early intervention team.
