Job summary
Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Virtual Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care through two-way audio/visual technology, assess vital signs, monitor data, and support bedside staff. The VRN delivers direct patient care remotely, conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, and helps maintain medical records while coaching department staff.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN license.
- Valid RN License from Virginia or compact state.
- BSN preferred; must obtain BSN within five years if not held.
- Three years of acute care nursing experience.
- AHA BLS CPR certification required.
- Strong communication and digital literacy.
- Proficient with Windows-based applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform virtual nursing rounds via video conferencing and assess patients.
- Develop and monitor care plans with care teams.
- Provide patient teaching and discharge planning.
- Coordinate with interprofessional health care team to meet goals.
- Respond to emergencies and rapid response events.
- Support staff development and preceptorship activities.
