Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or enrollment in BSN program
• Current Texas nursing license or active NCLEX/Compact licensure required
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• 9 months of professional nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents comprehensive patient/family assessments
• Analyses patient status and anticipates changes in condition
• Updates care plan based on new information and communicates with the healthcare team
• Participates in rounds and care conferences
• Assists patient/family in implementing the plan of care
• Assess patient/family learning needs and readiness to learn
• Administers and documents medications and treatments timely
• Maintains willing to acquire new knowledge and skills
• Participates in unit-based improvement initiatives
