Job summary

Georgia Connections Academy, a tuition-free, full‑time virtual school in Georgia, seeks certified teachers to deliver synchronous and asynchronous instruction for grades K–12. You will support and motivate students, engage families, and use data to drive student growth.

Teachers collaborate with MTSS/RTI teams, participate in state assessments, and may travel for in-person events within Georgia. A Georgia teaching certificate and a clear background are required.

Qualifications

• Requires Georgia teaching certification in the subject area.
• Bachelor’s degree in the content area or related field.
• Must obtain Georgia Clearance Certificate within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality synchronous instruction and create asynchronous resources aligned to GACA curriculum and state standards.
• Provide differentiated Tier 1 instruction and plan MTSS/RTI interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement accommodations with fidelity.
• Use data to diagnose learning needs, plan instruction, and monitor progress.
• Maintain knowledge of courses and K-12 curriculum pathways.
• Build strong relationships with students and families to support engagement.
• Provide timely feedback on student work and assessments.
• Conduct parent conferences and communicate progress, attendance, and needs.
• Support students with alternate lessons and targeted instructional strategies.
• Administer and score formative and summative assessments and participate in Georgia state assessments.
• Maintain attendance, communication logs, and intervention documentation.
• Collaborate within PLC to monitor data and plan instruction.
• Partner with counselors, SPED staff, and team members to meet student needs.
