Job summary

Safe Haven School is seeking a Licensed Special Education Teacher to deliver virtual instruction to high school students, evaluate progress, and ensure compliance with Illinois State Board of Education standards. You will collaborate with the Executive Director to align curriculum with ISBE descriptors and implement accommodations per IEPs.

You will plan lessons for multiple high school courses, monitor progress, and participate in case management with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed Special Education Teacher in Illinois with ISBE compliance.
• DCFS-mandated reporter.
• Maintain ISBE licensure and compliance obligations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement high school math and related subjects per ISBE standards.
• Assess and monitor student progress against IEP goals and objectives.
• Administer state assessments and progress monitoring.
• Maintain daily attendance records and weekly lesson plans.
• Prepare materials for meetings and conferences with parents and social workers.
