Job summary

Indiana Connections Academy in Indiana is seeking a Special Education Teacher to manage instructional programs for students with special needs from a home office. You will consult with learning coaches and students to ensure successful completion of instructional programs and participate in all steps of the IEP process.

Qualifications

• Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Indiana residency required.
• Indiana Special Education K-12 credential.
• Experience with IDEA policy/administration.
• Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer-focused approach and high flexibility.
• Team player with ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events (occasional overnight travel).
• Ability to use personal device and email for 2-step authentication.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional guidance for a caseload of students; provide virtual teaching.
• Develop, write and help implement IEPs.
• Evaluate tests and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents/learning coaches to meet IEP goals.
• Coordinate specially designed instruction with teachers.
• Provide direct services via web conferencing as needed.
• Schedule and conduct IEP meetings in a virtual environment.
• Support Student Support Team and modify programs as needed.
• Maintain data in LMS and IEP software.
• Assist with state testing administration and adaptations.
• Other duties as assigned.
