Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated educator to serve as the teacher of record across core subjects. You will deliver live, web-based instruction, set up courses in the LMS, monitor asynchronous work, and provide timely feedback.

• Must hold a current State teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ teaching experience.
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes.
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
• Must pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.
• Open to residents of Florida.

• Work toward student achievement, school culture, and state-specific accountability goals.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student needs and research-based instructional practices.

• Monitor asynchronous course progress and provide daily feedback and grades.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with the Principal to create and deliver student progress reports.
• Review student data to adjust instructional programs.
• Differentiate instruction for all students.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices.
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth.
• Plan and implement non-instructional activities and field trips, attending in person.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Deliver effective live lessons via web conference based on student needs and research-based instructional practices
Set up courses in the Learning Management System
Monitor asynchronous course progress and provide daily assignment feedback and grades
Track and maintain contact with each student
Collaborate with the Principal to create and deliver student progress reports
Review student-level data to adjust instructional programs
Differentiate instruction for all students
Use research-based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction
Create a joyful, caring, and loving classroom environment
Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues
Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms
Communicate regularly with families about students’ academic and social-emotional growth
Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into classroom and team practices
Plan and implement non-instructional activities, including social events and field trips, and attend them in person
Collaborate and communicate with colleagues
Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area

• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes at a time
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
• Open to residents of Florida
