Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated instructor to serve as the teacher of record in Arizona. You will deliver live and asynchronous instruction, manage courses in the LMS, and monitor student progress with timely feedback.

The role requires an active teaching license, SEI endorsement, and familiarity with state standards. Collaborating with school leadership, you will support student achievement, culture, and equitable access, while engaging families and maintaining confidential information.

Qualifications

• Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Must have an SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.
• Comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• High-quality written and verbal communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Ability to pass background checks.

Job description

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor
• Work toward student achievement, school culture, and state academic accountability goals
• Deliver live lessons via web conference using research-based instructional practices
• Set up courses in the Learning Management System
• Monitor asynchronous course progress and provide daily assignment feedback and grades
• Track and maintain contact with each student
• Collaborate with the Principal to create and deliver student progress reports
• Review student-level data and adjust instructional programs
• Differentiate instruction to meet all students’ needs
• Use research-based practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction
• Create a joyful, caring, and supportive classroom environment
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into lessons and interactions
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms
• Communicate regularly with families about students’ academic and social-emotional growth
• Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into classroom and team settings
• Plan and implement non-instructional activities, including social events and field trips, and attend them in person
• Collaborate and communicate with colleagues
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to supervise students in all school settings
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• Experience working in a multicultural setting preferred
• Must be a resident of Arizona
