Job summary

General Motors seeks an engineer to support virtual engineering and simulation for General Assembly programs. You will run dynamic simulations, assess manufacturing readiness, and lead virtual builds across multiple vehicle programs.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, architecture, and product teams to clarify objectives, review data, and communicate results while leveraging AI-enabled workflows to improve engineering processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with dynamic simulation or manufacturing process analysis.
Familiarity with Siemens Process Simulate, Tecnomatix, or similar platforms.
Experience navigating Teamcenter and supporting virtual engineering workflows.
Understanding of manufacturing readiness and product-process relationships.

Responsibilities

Perform dynamic simulations for robotic and manual General Assembly operations using Siemens Process Simulate and Tecnomatix.
Assess designs, tooling, equipment, and interfaces for manufacturing readiness and risk.
Lead or support virtual builds and manage manufacturing build sequences.
Collaborate with engineers and product teams to clarify objectives and communicate results.
Review engineering data in Teamcenter to identify missing or duplicate study requests.
Configure simulation workcells, document issues, and propose improvements.
Prioritize work across programs and communicate risks early.
Mentor newer team members and support knowledge sharing.
