Job summary

General Motors in Pontiac, MI seeks a Software-in-the-Loop Simulation Integration Engineer (SiL SIE) to advance our Global Virtual Engineering efforts. You will lead cross-functional co-simulation for validation across engine, hybrid, electrification, and chassis domains.

You will collaborate with Propulsion Engineering, VMEC, EPSI, Calibration, and Hardware Development to deliver high-quality virtual environments on time, driving virtualization and integration excellence.

Qualifications

BS in engineering from an accredited program.
2+ years of relevant experience in simulation/embedded fields.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and ECU models.
Familiar with plant models and Co-Simulation tools.
Embedded software experience, especially AUTOSAR.
Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks.
Proficient in C/C++ and Python.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Identify requirements, schedule, and deploy simulation projects for virtual vehicle design and validation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of components.
Integrate plant and ECU models with controller software and verify virtually.
Develop and test virtual controller models across HWIO/RTOS/I/O domains.
Perform simulation correlation using experimental data.
Create and maintain standard simulation architectures.
Provide documentation and user support for released simulations.
Design, develop, and execute automated test suites.
Benchmark and adopt next-gen simulation tools and processes.
