Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking online teachers to deliver rigorous, engaging instruction across core content areas. This role is virtual, but travel for state testing and events is required several times per year.

Open to Indiana residents, you will manage course setup, monitor progress, and communicate with families while collaborating with the principal to support student achievement and social-emotional growth.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.
• Comfort with a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook).
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes.
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
• Pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student needs.
• Complete course setup within the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
• Maintain contact with each student and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with the Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports.
• Review student data to inform instructional adjustments.
• Differentiate instruction for all students.
• Use best practices in synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
• Travel for in-person state testing and events as required.
