Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks an online K–12 teacher for Indiana with a state license to deliver live, research-based instruction in core subjects. The role involves teaching remotely with periodic in-person testing and events several times per year, and requires collaboration with school leadership to monitor progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

The ideal candidate will facilitate synchronous and asynchronous lessons, maintain strong family communication, and uphold culturally responsive teaching

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.
• High level of comfort with a growth-focused coaching environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas and grade levels.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grade assignments daily.
• Track and maintain contact with each student.
• Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
