Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking online teachers for the Virtual Preparatory Academy of Indiana @ Madison-Grant. The role involves delivering live lessons, monitoring asynchronous courses, and communicating student progress. Travel for state testing and events is required several times per year.

Open to Indiana residents with state teaching credentials in the appropriate content area. The school emphasizes rigorous instruction, culturally responsive practices, and collaboration with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ experience teaching.
• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup for each course within the Learning Management System.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback/grades daily.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
