Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks a qualified Virtual Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction entirely online. The role serves as the teacher of record, delivering live lessons, monitoring progress, and maintaining strong family communication in a national virtual network.

Open to residents in eligible states with a state license. You’ll collaborate with principals, differentiate instruction, and use a modern LMS to support student achievement and culture in a flexible remote setting.

Qualifications

• Current state teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• At least two years’ experience teaching (preferred).
• Comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook).
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for your teaching area.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student need, using research-based practices.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and school culture and accountability.
• Complete course setup in the Learning Management System.
• Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback/grades.
• Maintain regular contact with each student and families.
• Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Utilize 21st-century curriculum online and via multiple modalities.
• Create a joyful, caring classroom environment and apply culturally responsive teaching.
