  • Field Support Coordination: Support field technicians by diagnosing complex issues, validating findings, and recommending repair steps or parts needed; coordinate with dispatch for efficient scheduling of on-site visits.

  • Customer & Technician Guidance: Communicate clearly with homeowners and technicians to explain diagnoses, safety considerations, and step-by-step solutions in plain, non-technical language when needed.

  • Testing & Verification: Perform bench testing, equipment checks, and verification of components and assemblies to determine functionality and confirm resolutions prior to dispatch.

  • Documentation: Create accurate, detailed records of diagnostic steps, recommendations, parts used, and resolutions in the company CRM and knowledge base.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to and maintain internal troubleshooting guides, standard operating procedures, and training materials to improve team effectiveness.

  • Safety Prioritization: Identify hazardous conditions, provide immediate safety guidance, and escalate to licensed field technicians or emergency services when appropriate; adhere to company safety policies and local codes.

  • Other duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

  • Excellent customer service mindset with patience and empathy when assisting homeowners and technicians

  • Ability to troubleshoot systematically, use diagnostic tools, and prioritize safety when evaluating electrical concerns

  • Comfortable using multiple computer systems, CRM tools, and test equipment while documenting findings

  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation, organization, and time-management skills

  • Dependable team player who can work effectively in an office environment and collaborate across departments

  • May include participation in an on-call rotation or extended hours during peak demand

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in a workshop or office environment; occasional bending or kneeling for equipment access

  • Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, and perform bench work

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally for equipment handling and inventory tasks

  • Comfortable working at a computer for documentation and communication tasks
