Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking a Soft and Virtual ECU engineer to help build the next generation vehicle controller testing platforms. You will develop virtual ECUs across multiple levels, integrate toolchains, and drive open/closed loop testing within a modern agile team.

You’ll work with MBSE, model-based design, and CI/CD practices to push automated testing and deployment in highly virtualized environments for ADAS and EV systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Computer Engineering or related.
• 2 years developing virtual test platforms (MIL, SIL, HIL) in automotive apps.
• Experience with virtualization, cosimulation & system integration toolchain (dSPACE, ETAS, etc.).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methods.
• Experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK and embedded C/C++.
• Understanding of CAN and analysis tools; SW version control.
• Ability to troubleshoot platform issues; ECU architecture knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop virtual test platforms (xIL) for next-generation vehicle controller testing.
• Create virtual ECUs at various levels and manage toolchain integration.
• Conduct open-loop and closed-loop testing across ADAS/AD, Energy, EV domains.
• Collaborate with agile SW development and test teams from design to validation.
