Job summary

Shive-Hattery seeks a Virtual Design Manager to lead BIM, data standards, and design technology practices across office locations. You will build and govern standards, provide training, and guide implementation of new Virtual Design technologies to improve project delivery and client experience.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with design professionals and project leaders, and willingness to travel to Shive-Hattery offices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in architecture, engineering, construction, design technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years in architecture, engineering, construction, or related field with leadership or program management experience.
• Ability to document and maintain Virtual Design standards across disciplines and offices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to train and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Virtual Design standards, resources, and workflows across disciplines and offices.
• Assess development needs for Virtual Design software and data practices.
• Advance company-wide Virtual Design and data standards for consistent delivery.
• Provide in-person and remote training and support for Virtual Design technologies.
• Develop implementation strategies for new Virtual Design technologies and data-driven practices.
• Govern startup files and resources for Revit and Civil 3D.
