Job summary

Shive-Hattery Group, Inc. is seeking a Virtual Design Manager to lead BIM, data standards, and design technology across the firm.

You will manage resources, improve workflows, and empower teams to deliver coordinated project information that enhances client experiences. You will provide training and guidance to office teams, develop startup files for Revit and Civil 3D, and drive adoption of new virtual design practices across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in architecture, engineering, construction, design technology, or related field.
• Three to five years in architecture, engineering, construction, or related field with leadership or program management experience.
• Ability to document and maintain Virtual Design standards across disciplines and offices.
• Ability to train, coach, and support employees with varied technical levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication for explaining technical concepts.
• Ability to collaborate with design professionals, project leaders, and technology teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Shive-Hattery offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead Virtual Design standards, resources, and workflows across disciplines.
• Assess development needs for software, workflows, and staff capabilities.
• Advance company-wide Virtual Design, BIM, and data standards.
• Provide in-person and remote training and support across office locations.
• Evaluate industry developments for potential improvements in project delivery.
• Develop and guide implementation strategies for new Virtual Design technologies.
• Lead the development and governance of startup files for Revit and Civil 3D.
• Create and manage reusable BIM content, data standards, and documentation.
