Job summary

Shive-Hattery, a U.S. architecture and engineering firm, seeks a Virtual Design Manager to lead BIM and data standards across offices. You will build and govern design technology resources, provide training, and drive standardized workflows to improve project delivery.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with discipline teams, assess software needs, and guide adoption of Revit, Civil 3D, and related tools. Travel to offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in architecture, engineering, construction, design technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years in architecture, engineering, construction, or related field with leadership or program management experience.
• Ability to document and implement Virtual Design standards across disciplines and offices.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Align Virtual Design standards, resources, and workflows across disciplines and offices.
• Assess development needs for Virtual Design software, workflows, data practices, and staff capabilities.
• Advance consistent company-wide Virtual Design, BIM, and data standards for One Firm.
• Provide in-person and remote training, coaching, and support for Virtual Design technologies and processes across locations.
• Evaluate industry developments and technologies for potential enhancements to project delivery.
• Develop and guide implementation strategies for new Virtual Design technologies, workflows, and data-driven practices.
• Lead development and governance of Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D startup files and related resources.
• Create and manage reusable BIM content, data standards, and supporting documentation.
