Job summary

Shive-Hattery is seeking a Virtual Design Manager to lead BIM standards and digital project delivery across offices. You will manage resources, guide adoption of Revit and Civil 3D, and create reusable BIM assets while mentoring teams in a collaborative environment.

Role requires strong communication, cross-disciplinary coordination, and travel to various Shive-Hattery locations. Hybrid work is supported with in-person and remote training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in architecture, engineering, construction, design technology, or related field.
• Experience leading people or programs, and managing standards, workflows, or processes.
• Ability to develop, document, implement, and maintain Virtual Design standards across disciplines and offices.
• Ability to train and support employees with varied technical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Virtual Design standards, resources, and workflows across disciplines.
• Assess development needs for Virtual Design software, workflows, and staff capabilities.
• Advance company-wide Virtual Design, BIM, and data standards.
• Provide in-person and remote training and support for Virtual Design technologies.
• Evaluate new technologies for potential to improve project delivery.
• Develop and guide implementation strategies for new Virtual Design technologies.
• Lead development of Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D startup files and related resources.
• Create and manage reusable BIM content, data standards, and documentation.
