Interstates is seeking a Virtual Designer to lead project implementation of Virtual Design Construction technology. You will be the primary liaison between the field, business units and the corporate office, ensuring collaboration and timely delivery.

The role requires 4–10 years in virtual design and construction, strong BIM/VDC software capabilities, and excellent communication. Remote work is possible; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or AA/AS in a related field; bachelor’s preferred.
• 4–10 years in virtual design/construction or similar, preferably electrical industry.
• Strong skills with virtual modeling software and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead project implementation of Virtual Design Construction technology.
• Serve as the contact between field, business units and corporate office.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and teams in on-site or virtual meetings.
• Mentor team members through delegation, reviews and feedback.
• Document scope and establish deliverable schedules; set project direction.
• Assess risks and opportunities; implement design strategies with BIM/VDC tools.
• Communicate updates to all impacted team members.
