Charles IT is seeking a highly qualified Virtual Client Information Officer (vCIO) to guide strategic IT consulting for assigned clients. You will serve as the primary liaison, align technology with business goals, and oversee IT roadmaps.

You will communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, mentor teams, manage budgets, and ensure security, scalability, and regulatory compliance across client environments. Extensive MSP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT consulting or technical leadership, preferably in MSP.
• Experience with strategic IT planning, budgeting, and C-suite engagement.
• Strong business acumen and ability to align technology with business strategy.

We areseekinga highly qualified Virtual ClientInformationOfficer (vCIO) to join our team. This strategic role serves as the primary liaison for assigned clients, addressing both technical escalations and businessobjectives. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, collaborative, exceptionally organized, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic advisor, aligning client technology with business goals.
• Deliver executive-level insights and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure client environments are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance and growth.
• Develop ITroadmaps, lead business reviews, manage budgets, and uphold compliance standards.
• Build andmaintainstrong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact and escalation.
• Mentor internal team members and foster collaboration across departments.
• Identifygaps and partner with technical teams to scope and prioritize initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT consulting, account management, or technical leadership, ideally within the MSP space.
• Proven success in strategic IT planning, budgeting, and engaging with C-suite stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technology with business strategy.
• Industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, VCP, CCNA) are a plus.
• Proficiencywith ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Office 365, and advanced Mac OS support preferred.
• Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and follow-through in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Expected schedule of approximately 47 hours per week, including occasional evening client dinners and events.
• Must be able to pass a background check and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license.
