Charles IT in Stamford, CT is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide crucial end-user support, field and escalation assistance, and hands-on administration across Windows Server environments, Office 365/Exchange, VMware, Hyper-V, and network devices.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, relevant certifications (MCSA, CCNA, VCP considered), strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, client-focused team.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience (preferred).
• Certifications such as MCSA, VCP, CCNA are a plus.
• Experience with platforms like ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, and Office 365 is a bonus.
• Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, client-focused team.
• Enthusiastic about taking on challenges in a growing company with a diverse client base.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues for end users.
• Support of Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Office 365/Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, etc.
• Support of virtual environments including VMware, and Hyper-V.
• Support backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Configure, install, and support various network devices and services, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
• Effectively communicate with customers on ticket progress, impending changes, or agreed outages, etc.
• Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
• Maintain daily documentation by entering time, expenses, and all work as service tickets in ConnectWise.
• Other duties as assigned.
