Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks a Virtual Assistant Principal to lead academic and behavioral excellence across 80+ schools. The role partners with the Principal, teachers, and families to cultivate an inclusive culture, implement MTSS/RTI processes, and oversee career and technical education programs.

You will drive professional development, ensure compliance with state standards, and coordinate with HR and administrators to recruit, hire, and support site staff.

Qualifications

• Current valid Principal and Teacher license in Ohio
• Minimum seven years of experience in education or related field
• Two or more years of experience in school administration/instructional leadership
• Knowledge of state academic content standards
• Experience with public education accountability, compliance, and related legal requirements
• Ability to create inclusive environments that honor and support diverse backgrounds
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

• Cultivate a caring, supportive, and inclusive school community
• Provide coaching and professional development in effective classroom management
• Collaborate with staff and families to improve student behavior, attendance, and engagement
• Engage families and the community in meaningful ways to promote student success
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and lead instructional programs and assess curriculum
• Coordinate professional development and staff in-service days with leadership teams
