Job summary

Compass Health Center is seeking a licensed or license-eligible psychologist or master’s level therapist to lead group therapy within our PHP/IOP program. You will facilitate CBT/DBT groups, conduct intakes, and support patients in crisis while coordinating with the treatment team.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, group dynamics, and documentation in EMR, with opportunities for professional development and contribution to a compassionate, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must have experience conducting intakes, individual therapy, and group therapy.
• Knowledge of group dynamics using CBT/DBT and other evidence-based therapies.
• Experience working with patients in crisis and in PHP/IOP settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide group therapy to patients in a safe therapeutic milieu.

What You'll Do:

• Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu
• Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients
• Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Relaying relevant clinical information to treatment team during daily rounds and as needed
• Developing program material and adjusting group therapy content, as needed, to fit group needs
• Engaging in crisis management, as needed
• Creating and updating treatment plans
• Charting in our electronic medical records system
• Participating in professional development activities
• This position may also include meeting with patients individually for case management

Who You Are:

• Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist with clinical experience conducting intakes, individual therapy, and group therapy
• Have knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Have experience with patients in crisis
• Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting

$47,000—$65,000 USD
