Job summary

Compass Health Center, based in Chicagoland, is seeking a licensed psychologist or master’s level therapist to deliver individual therapy, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care for PHP/IOP programs across Illinois and Minnesota. The role emphasizes CBT/DBT, crisis management, and collaboration with treatment teams.

Flexibility to work within 8:30am-6:30pm CST, with a preference for candidates in Illinois or Minnesota who hold an active clinical license and have crisis experience.

Qualifications

• Experience applying CBT, DBT and other evidence-based therapies.
• Licensure as psychologist or equivalent master-level license is required.
• 2+ years of clinical work experience post-Master’s is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions and develop treatment plans.

• Manage initial and ongoing insurance needs for patients.

Job description

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis – every day, wehelp people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

As aPrimary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.

Schedule: Must have flexibility between 8:30am-6:30pm CST Monday through Friday

Preference for candidates based in Illinois or Minnesota with an active, full clinical license.

What You'll Do:

• Completing initial intake evaluations to determine diagnosis and appropriateness for program
• Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Overseeing initial and continuing insurance needs of patients
• Meeting with patients individually to assess progress and guide treatment planning
• Coordinating care with patient’s individual providers to ensure continuity of care
• Assessing patient’s progress and need for higher level of care or discharge
• Communicating with patient’s family members or support system when indicated
• Charting in our electronic medical records system
• Engaging in crisis management
• Providing group therapy, as needed

Who You Are:

• Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist with clinical license (required)
• 2+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s (strongly preferred)
• Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Have experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting

$55,000 — $90,000 USD
