Job summary

Compass Health Center seeks a clinician to lead group therapy within PHP/IOP settings at our Chicago North Center location. You will facilitate CBT/DBT groups, develop psychoeducational content, and collaborate with the treatment team to tailor group material for patient needs.

Eligible professionals with psychology-related degrees will provide crisis management when needed and contribute to treatment planning and documentation in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• Psychologist or Master’s level therapist licensed or eligible.
• Experience in PHP/IOP preferred; not required.
• Ability to facilitate CBT/DBT groups and develop treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide group therapy in a safe therapeutic milieu.
• Develop effective therapeutic group relationships and content.
• Utilize CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based therapies.
• Relay clinical information to treatment team during rounds.
• Develop and update treatment plans; chart in EMR.
• Engage in crisis management when needed.
• May meet with patients individually for case management.

Job description

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

As a group therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidence based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. What You’ll Do

• Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu
• Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients
• Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
• Relaying relevant clinical information to treatment team during daily rounds and as needed
• Developing program material and adjusting group therapy content, as needed, to fit group needs
• Engaging in crisis management, as needed
• Creating and updating treatment plans
• Charting in our electronic medical records system
• Participating in professional development activities
• This position may also include meeting with patients individually for case management

Who You Are

• Are passionate about facilitating group therapy and seeking an environment to work collaboratively with others
• Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist
• Hold the following licenses or education: LSW (or LSW eligible), LPC (or LPC eligible), LCSW, LCPC, PsyD, or PhD
• Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
• Have prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting (preferred, not required)

Compensation

We believe in an equitable pay structure. Compass reserves the right to update these ranges. Compensation $47,000 — $65,000 USD
