Job summary

Compass Health Center is seeking a Primary Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, conduct individual and group therapy, and coordinate care with outpatient teams for seamless treatment across services.

You will work with a multidisciplinary treatment team in our Northbrook facility, providing crisis-informed care, documenting progress, and communicating with families and schools as needed. Competitive compensation and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist (required).
• Hold one of the following licenses: PhD, PsyD, LCSW, or LCPC (preferred).
• 2+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s (strongly preferred).
• Have knowledge and experience utilizing CBT and DBT, as well as other evidenced-based therapies.
• Have experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial intake evaluation to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program.
• Provide group and individual therapy.
• Provide family therapy as needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family members or support system, on a weekly basis or as needed.
• Coordinate care with patients’ outside providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicate with patients’ home school and attend school re-entry meetings.
• Create individualized weekly schedules for each patient based on need.
• Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care, transition plan and/or discharge.
• Chart progress of patients appropriately.
• Provide insurance utilization team with updates.

Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis – every day, wehelp people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.

About This Role

As a Primary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.

Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings.

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, your years of experience, type of experience, location, and education/certifications. Compensation: $55,000 USD - $90,000 USD
