Job summary

The Taylor Group is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for Virginia, Richmond area, to drive sales of designated Taylor product lines and exceed quotas. You will develop territory strategies, manage itineraries, and maintain strong customer relationships to demonstrate product superiority and secure profitable deals.

You will report to the General Sales Manager and collaborate with field service and engineering teams, aiming to maximize market share and corporate image across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in marketing preferred or eight years’ experience selling in the material handling industry.
• Experience with Taylor products preferable.
• Competent in sales technique with knowledge of competitive equipment and material handling needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a presentable appearance.
• Ability to travel the territory on an almost daily basis.
• Computer literacy and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts effective sales effort within existing company policies.
• Initiates sales orders and cooperates with sales personnel to process them.
• Keeps records of activity and submits reports as requested.
• Contributes to corporate promotion activities and attends trade shows.
• Works with other departments to align customer needs with service.
• Keeps informed on Taylor equipment and competitive products; maintains a professional image.
• Evaluates sales effectiveness and strives to upgrade abilities.
